Migration Week: consultations with the media in Pakistan

This week sees the Ethical Journalism Network (EJN), together with ICMPD, holding a series of consultations with the media in Pakistan in order to develop a set of guidelines for media reporting on migration issues.

Migration Week will comprise of four workshops taking place on 2-6 November. Each session will bring together senior editors, department heads and representatives from journalist associations who will provide their input and engage in lively discussion and debate.

The German Ministry of Foreign Affairs is funding this initiative and the workshops will be supported by the EU-funded Migrant Resource Centres (MRCs) working on raising awareness on migration under the auspices of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (MOPHRD) and the Department of Labour (DoL) Punjab.
