Baghdad, Iraq– On 6 June 2023, an ICMPD delegation met his Excellency Mr. Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, Minister of Interior of Republic of Iraq. The discussion centred around international cooperation and further enhancement of collaboration between the ICMPD and the Ministry. One of the key points on the agenda was the continuation of efforts to formulate and endorse a National Integrated Border Management Strategy of Iraq, which is currently being finalised under the supervision of the National Security Adviser.
