Three new explainer videos

Vienna: To bridge the gap between theory and practice, it is vital that key concepts related to migration are understood. With this in mind, we have prepared a series of three videos which explain some key migration topics: Irregular migration, the Smuggling of migrants and Human trafficking, which were used in recent law enforcement trainings.

These short explainer videos provide international law definitions of the terms, as well as facts and figures related to the size of the issues globally: https://www.budapestprocess.org/resources/videos

Local, regional and global solutions are needed to address these issues. Those who exploit vulnerable migrants need to be punished while victims must be protected. At the same time, supporting legal pathways for migration, tackling the root causes of #IrregularMigration, #MigrantSmuggling and #HumanTrafficking is vital.

This activity is financed by the European Union and implemented by ICMPD.
