New Policy on Engagement with Iraqis Abroad closer to adoption

Baghdad/Vienna: We are delighted to learn that after four years working with the Ministry of Migration and Displaced to develop a national-level policy for Iraqis abroad, this is one step closer to adoption. The funding of the European Union enabled ICMPD to deliver and support policy development in the Republic of Iraq.

Within the next month some final comments need to be addressed, then from here the next step is to have this policy formally endorsed by all relevant national Committees and approved by the Prime Minister’s office. This will then give the green light for implementation to begin.

ICMPD is delighted to have been involved in creating this national policy and is eager to continue our partnership with the Iraqi government as we now move to the final adoption and execution phase.
